Deck up!!

Hey everyone!

I hope all is good at your end. I had started writing my Blog during my maternity thinking I’ll have plenty of time to make things and scribble down  but Boy was I wrong? I have only been able to write two and have joined back work already :( (The leave was certainly not enough). So if you see only see one post in million year …you know why.

Anyway today I wanted to share what I did with one of my daughter’s woollen hats to peck it up a bit.

We all look for bargains all the time, don’t we?  Well I found a pair of  hat in  sale for my daughter yesterday which I thought looked too plain.

So the creative mind set to work..

For the stripy one I didn’t do much ..just got a few circles of different coloured  felt together and stitched with a button in the middle. This is what it looks like now..

My daughter has even modelled it for me.. I think it looks quite all right. What do you think??

For the plain one… I thought I could do a lot more …just cut a butterfly shape in contrasting colour felt  and stitched it to the hat. Then I cut small circle of felt and put it on the hat with a single cross stitch to make them look like flowers, made the stocks and leaves…and Ta dah… This is what I have..

What a difference to the first picture together..

What do you think?
